The plum harvest season in Iran begins in early July and lasts until late September. After harvesting, fresh plums are immediately transported to processing facilities to be turned into puree.

Since plum puree production takes place simultaneously with the harvest, the best time to purchase it in bulk from factories is from early August to mid-October. During this period, the puree is freshly produced and is usually more cost-effective compared to other times of the year.

On the other hand, non-aseptic packaging needs to be transported and stored at refrigerator temperature, which increases storage costs and the risk of product spoilage. Our recommended packaging for plum puree consists of aseptic bags in metal barrels of 200 liters (210 ± 2 kg).
